Leaf Collection

Curbside leaf collection will continue until snow accumulates or the end of November. Public Works requests that leaves are left loose on the curb and should not be raked or blown into the street. When the leaves clump together, they can create major clogs in the stormwater drainage system which can contribute to flash flooding and standing water in the streets. Public Works begin on Mondays and will comb through the town. If they do not finish, they will go back to the area that was missed. As the season progresses, Public Works will go through the town each week as the season and/or weather allows. More Information

Welcome to the Evansville Police Department. With nine full-time officers, and a number of part-time officers, the City of Evansville Police Department provides the community with 24-hour coverage.

Our department has an outstanding history of progressive community protection. Officers spend significant time in the schools, school sporting events and various other community activities. Officers conduct training throughout the community for various businesses, banks, etc. The Evansville police department also provides a 24 hour drug/medicine drop off box to residents for unused or outdated drugs and medications.

During the visioning phase of the smart growth planning program, and according to community survey results, Evansville residents said they felt this community was safe. This feeling is due in large part to the efforts of the police officers that are both visible and involved in the community.

It is an honor for all of us to serve the community and enjoy the high quality of life in Evansville. Effective policing involves the entire community united in a team effort. All of you are an integral part of this team and we are proud to serve the residents in the city of Evansville.
