Leaf Collection

Curbside leaf collection will continue until snow accumulates or the end of November. Public Works requests that leaves are left loose on the curb and should not be raked or blown into the street. When the leaves clump together, they can create major clogs in the stormwater drainage system which can contribute to flash flooding and standing water in the streets. Public Works begin on Mondays and will comb through the town. If they do not finish, they will go back to the area that was missed. As the season progresses, Public Works will go through the town each week as the season and/or weather allows. More Information

CBDG Housing Program

The City of Evansville offers 0% interest deferred payment loans to eligible households for repairs to their home.Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. The loan can be used to make the following types of repairs: handicap accessibility, electrical, plumbing, heating, roofing, window/door replacement, sewer and water connections, and other general repairs. Did you know?  CBDG Housing Program loans can be used for outside work done on homes in a historic district, including window repair and replacement!

Homeowners

These funds will be lent to income eligible households for home repairs.  The loan is a 0% interest, deferred payment loan. You do not pay it back until you sell the house or no longer live there. Click here for a Homeowner Application.

Landlords

Installment loans are available for landlords who rent to tenants that are low- to moderate- income.  The loan is a 0% interest loan with repayment over 10 – 15 years (depending on the loan amount).  Contact Susan Maier for more details. Click here for a Landlord Application.

If you are a contractor interested in working with the housing program, please contact Susan Maier for more information.  There are limited contractors that work in the area so it is a great opportunity for qualified contractors!
