Leaf Collection

Curbside leaf collection will continue until snow accumulates or the end of November. Public Works requests that leaves are left loose on the curb and should not be raked or blown into the street. When the leaves clump together, they can create major clogs in the stormwater drainage system which can contribute to flash flooding and standing water in the streets. Public Works begin on Mondays and will comb through the town. If they do not finish, they will go back to the area that was missed. As the season progresses, Public Works will go through the town each week as the season and/or weather allows. More Information

Committees & Commissions

The Common Council meets regularly on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, each month. The 3rd Tuesday of April Council meets for a special re-organization session. Throughout the year the Council may convene for other special meetings such as Committee of the Whole where Council and staff meet to discuss larger ideas and plans, or meetings to solve issues needing immediate attention.

In order for the City of Evansville, and the Common Council, to work efficiently committees and sub committees are needed to go through details of projects, issues, operations and financing of different departments.  Many of the committees consists of 1-3 council members and members of the public with an interest in the committee.  These committees are appointed or re-appointed by the Mayor.
