Leaf Collection

Curbside leaf collection will continue until snow accumulates or the end of November. Public Works requests that leaves are left loose on the curb and should not be raked or blown into the street. When the leaves clump together, they can create major clogs in the stormwater drainage system which can contribute to flash flooding and standing water in the streets. Public Works begin on Mondays and will comb through the town. If they do not finish, they will go back to the area that was missed. As the season progresses, Public Works will go through the town each week as the season and/or weather allows. More Information

Common Council

Council members (alders), are elected each April to serve two-year terms. Two alders are elected from each of the four districts that make up the City of Evansville. Terms for Council Members are two years, and are staggered so one Council position from each district is open in any given local election. The Mayor is also elected to a two year term on even years.

Common Council meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month. The third Tuesday of April, Council meets for a special re-organization session.

Common Council Meeting Agendas, Packets, and Minutes can be found here.
